Why Meadus?

Experience. Work ethic. A record of getting things done.

Maple Ridge needs councillors who understand City Hall, respect taxpayers and are prepared to ask the hard questions. I’ve done the job before, and I know where we can do better.

What Changes With Meadus

Before City Hall asks you for more, it should prove it has done more with what it already has.

Put Every Dollar Under the Microscope

Launch a comprehensive Taxpayer Value Review of City spending, contracts, consultants, programs and duplication.

Before increasing taxes, City Hall should show taxpayers where it looked for savings first.

Reduce Pressure on Property Taxes

My goal is to reduce the tax burden by finding savings, growing the commercial tax base and challenging unnecessary spending before approving additional tax increases.

Fight for Maple Ridge’s Fair Share

Refocus existing City resources toward intergovernmental relations, grants and investment, building stronger relationships with provincial and federal governments and bringing more outside funding into Maple Ridge.

Less government promotion. More government relations.

Grow the Tax Base, Not Just the Tax Rate

Attract new employers, support existing businesses and create more local jobs.

More commercial investment means new revenue for City services without continually putting the burden on homeowners and renters.

I Show Up.

Public service means doing the work.

  • Come prepared and do the homework before major votes
  • Ask difficult questions when the numbers don't add up
  • Be accessible to residents between elections
  • Measure results, not announcements
  • Vote independently based on what makes sense for Maple Ridge

Perfect Council attendance during my four-year term.
